Captain Corelli's Mandolin
This story is about a fisherman who went to fight with the Greek army during WWII, his fiancee named Pelagia (played by Penelope Cruz), fell in love with the local Italian commander by the name of Captain Antonio Corelli (played by Nicholas Cage).
Antonio became a part of the lives of the villagers, but the moment is fleeting. As the war grew closer, Antonio and Pelagia are forced to choose between their allegiance to their countries and the love they feel for one another, a love which must overcome tremendous odds, and endure the inevitable sacrifice.
I personally didn't like this movie much... but I was moved on this part;
